Well-designed carbon pricing systems can increase profits and mitigate climate change. If well structured and driven, carbon pricing can also provide strong economic incentives for investment, production, and consumption changes, stimulate technological innovation, and reduce public spending. Carbon pricing is a valuable policy tool that can be utilized as part of a broader decarbonization strategy (World Bank, 2024). This brief discusses global carbon trends including types of carbon pricing, and Thailand&#8217;s utilization of such mechanisms to meet climate goals.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
